This human daddy has a lot to learn. Like dog rule #5 - If I lie on it it is mine. No worries though, Apple the sassy and adorable Dachshund puppy definitely has the skills to teach him.

First, cute puppy and love his name! Second, if I were the pup I would pee on his pillow then walk away!
I laughed at when he said "you little shit!" and started snickering. My dog hears that phrase more than once a day when she goes back to doing something I told her not to.
We recently adopted a doxie beagle ( she is 6 or 7 ). She has some of the most fascinating behaviors that I had never seen in any of our other / large dogs. This " strong desire" to be on top of a pillow..( any pillow will do..) and the scratch..burrow..make a nest routine seem inherent. Don't even get me started on the doleful facial expressions. She has won our hearts !
This is not cute or funny. The puppy is clearly showing that it is in charge; and the human is clearly not willing to set boundaries. My prediction is that when the dog gets older, it will defend its territory (the pillow) in more serious ways. Then, it really won't be cute, Puppies need boundaries as much as toddlers do. To not give them boundaries is cruel.
I suspect that even when dad put the camera down, Apple was still boss. And will remain boss.
That's too cute! (:
so cute, I have a Frenchie who loves the beddy-byes too :-)
What a great expression...so guilty looking, then goes right back at it. Was spirited away by his toy but looked back at the couch like, "wait a minute", I was up there claiming my territory. I am NOT that easily fooled. LOVE IT!
