Oil spill in stream poses risk to dogs

Petts Wood park has an oil spill Dog owners are being warned to not let their animals near a stream in a Petts Wood park after oil was dumped there.

An animal went in the stream before the clean-up operation began at the site near the Tent Peg Lane car park entrance to Jubilee Country Park and got covered in the liquid.

It is believed the fuel may be diesel oil.

Environment Agency and Bromley Council have both put up signs warning people not to let their pets wander into the contaminated area and a clean-up operation has begun.
