Coyotes attacking pets in Maple Ridge, BC

As many as 15 cats have been killed in Maple Ridge, British Columbia in the past few months. Whereas originally it was suspected foul play may have been responsible for the mutilation of several of the cats, it has been concluded by a forensic veterinarian that coyotes are likely the ones responsible. One dog has also been a victim in the attacks.
Pet owners should be cautious letting their dogs and cats into backyards, especially at night.
