There are some things that dogs can do much better than most others... bring comfort, joy, encouragement and help to humans who need it the most. Their loyalty and love is something that should always be appreciated.

For every ten dogs who apply to be therapy dogs, only one qualifies. These are very special dogs who, in this case, are helping wounded soldiers heal.

Soldier and canine partner's hearfelt goodbye (PHOTOS)
