Chihuahuas born with two legs get special wheelchairs and new homes

Dogart_thumb By Ellen | August 29, 2012 | Comments (2)

Echo, Ellie and Gulliiver have their new chairs

Echo Ellie and Gulliver are a sibling Chihuahuas who were born without front legs, but thanks to the efforts of the MSPCA the trio not only each got specialized wheels but also adoptive homes.

They were originally named Kensi, Hetty, and G, when they were first brought in to MSPCA open admission adoption center in Methuen in 2011 after their owner died.

The three puppies managed to get around quite well on two legs for the first few months and were soon adopted to loving families. Four months later they had a reunion and each got new specialized wheelchair to help them get around.

You can't put down their lively spirits! Thank you all for MPSCA for rescuing these remarkable puppies!
This story is so touching. One of my precious dogs has a disability in walking. She basically doesn't walk anymore due to her front legs have both torn ligaments and tendons. She has already had knee surgery on her back left leg and her right is really weak. I was very moved when I seen the article about the special wheelchairs for the 2 chihuahuas.
