rescue dogs are family - Brasher

Today i gained another member of the family. I watched a car in front of us on a country road toss out a grocery bag into a muddy flooded area. By the time we got there a puppy crawled out of the bag!!!! I fell in love with him, and I had to keep him.

Took him to the vet, got his shots and him on worm meds. He has melt our hearts. Our other puppy which is a American Bulldog/Boxer mix just loves him and so does our 3 children.

It's just terrible that people toss animals away like trash. I wish i had the jerk's license plate number. But that's ok, karma is sweet. And i know and promise to take care of this sweet little man. I just wanted to share my story and a pic of our new little cutie.

The vet said he looks to be 6 to 7 weeks old. And thank you guys so much. I'm a softy when it comes to animals and they are my fuzzy kids. No way I could turn my back on them.

your story of rescuing dog makes me cry.... as I remembered my first dog JM... Golden Retriever mix.... Love him so much... my daughter and JM grew together and even if they live apart....
One man's trash is the next man's treasure :-) We should be happy there are bad people or you wouldn't have him
Thank you so much for saving this previous baby. It was a God send that you were there when this happened. It was a sign that he was meant to be a member of your wonderful family. It is so heart warming to read your story and to know that there are people that love fur babies as much as I do. Again, from the bottom of my heart THANK YOU for sharing your family with this little guy. Hope he brings you a lot of love and happiness..
Poor baby :-( Thank you so much for saving him .. you most certainly were in the right place at the right time that day! Make no mistake, this baby boy will know everything you have done for him and he will return that 10 fold by being your most loyal companion and loving friend for the rest of his life and you deserve that. It's not printable what I'd like to do to people who do this and hurt defenceless animals in other ways too ... we must get tougher on them and stop this abhorrent behaviour the human race have adopted. We call 'animals' a lower class to humans yet they have far better morals than we do ... something is very wrong there.
What sort of monsters tosses a baby out the window of a car like trash?! If someone can't afford a pet, then why do they get one in the first place? And if they can't afford a litter of pups or kittens, why don't they have their pet neutered? (There ARE free and low cost services out there if you look.) If, for some reason, they do wind up with unwanted pups or kittens, then why don't they take the babies to others who will care for them instead of killing or abandoning them? So many questions, and I don't know what the answers are. Our society is sick and really needs fixing. Thank the lucky stars you saw and rescued this poor little guy! Good luck with him. I know he will repay you in a million ways by loving you in return.
Thank you for saving this fur baby. I wish you had a facebook account where we could see pictures as this fur baby grows. Rhonda Cable
God Bless the wonderful people who rescue these poor defenseless animals. I pray each and every one of you get a special blessing besides the blessing your rescued babies give you. Thank you, thank you, thank you for being caring human beings. :O)
