Most dog lovers would probably not be shocked to learn about how many wonderful, socially responsible ideas and organizations are inspired by the love of a dog. The loyalty, trust and complete commitment dogs offer is a truly special gift that inspires many humans to "give back" to the canine community.

While some choose to work in the veterinary field to actively help sick animals, or volunteer or work for rescues and not-for-profit societies, others opt to work as trainers to help dogs integrate into their human communities and gain acceptance from non-dog lovers.

To celebrate inspirational dogs and the organizations that were created in their honor, we are launching a series "Behind every great organization is a great dog" to highlight special dogs who have inspired their human to create an organization (whether it be a business, not-for-profit or volunteer group) that provides value to their communities. If you are interested in participating, please send us an email at Team@DogHeirs.com
