Bring Bo Home, is a Facebook page run by a mother; Natasha, who is on the hunt to get her beloved Bully-Breed pup home. Too often we are hearing about abused, neglected, stolen, missing, and killed four-legged family members, and just as often we have pet owners that just give up. Not Bo's mum!
Bo was trusted with a family friend, under contract while his mum was looking for a new place that would allow her pit-bull type dog. This 'friend' (Danielle), took it upon herself to bring Bo to a vet clinic and abandon him, (Clearwater animal clinic, 1639 S Missouri Ave Clearwater, FL 33756). It is not law to practice Micro-Chip Scanning in Florida; even though Bo is chipped, and so the Clearwater animal clinic then adopted Bo out to a new family, also without requiring any proof that Danielle was his owner.
When Bo's real mum and owner went to claim him you can just imagine how distraught she was to find out the facts. Not only was Bo not scanned for his chip but he was given to a family that would prove to be trouble. With this new knowledge, it was time to go to court and fight tooth and nail.
It has taken months for court hearings, Judge's written orders to have Bo returned, and still nothing. The family that indeed had Bo, pretended to still have him in front of the Judge, but when a sheriff came knocking on their door in late August 2013 they denied having him. As it turns out, Bo was returned to Clearwater animal clinic, where once again he was given away to a new family.
Despite Clearwater animal clinic knowing full well that Natasha was still looking for him, despite having proof of ownership, this practice still refused to give him back to his family. Why would a clinic for the well-being of animals still refuse an owner her pet? Simply out of spite- when Bring Bo Home Facebook page was made there was an outcry from the animal-lover community. A large number of people took it upon themselves to belittle Clearwater on every site they could (Google, Facebook, Yelp, Yahoo, etc).
Some comments as follows:
"GIVE BO BACK...... you are obviously not in the vet business for the animals given this and what many others have to say about you. BAD. BAD. BAD."
"They steal dogs and give them away!!! DO NOT GO TO THESE THEVES!!!!! You will have to go to court if you ever want to see your dog again!!!"
As a ploy to get the comments removed, Clearwater contacted Natasha; the woman fighting so hard to get her boy back, and offered to reunite them if all negative comments were removed quickly. Bring Bo Home pleaded with the followers to delete all comments, if this could be the end of her struggles she was willing to do anything. Most followers immediately began tearing down their remarks against Clearwater, despite knowing the clinic deserved every bit of negativity. Today, Thursday, October 17th 2013, Bo's fight seems to have been prolonged further.
Clearwater Animal Clinic has hired an attorney (Richard T. Heiden), and today Natasha received a letter stating the following:
"As you and I know, we both discussed the possibility of trying to work on a resolution of the dispute between you and your husband and my clients. As a precursor to those discussions, I encouraged you to have your followers remove the false and malicious statements posted on Yahoo, Facebook and other online reviews of my client all of which are damaging to my client. I indicated to you that it would be helpful for you to do this in order to get my clients interested in moving forward with a settlement with you.
Unfortunately, my clients have followed the statements that you have made online in an effort to persuade certain people to remove postings that they have made and the words used by you were equivalent to this being blackmail. It has caused my clients to reverse course. Unfortunately, you often choose your words poorly and my clients are extremely upset over the situation and remain so. They have instructed me to advise you that they are no longer interested in assisting you whatsoever in resolving this matter along the lines you and I discussed.
Accordingly, because the postings of your followers have not come down, my clients have instructed me to advise you that they are no longer interested in settling this matter. As such, please be advised that my clients are not going to be going to forward with mediating any dispute with you in the future or providing you any assistance on a going forward basis.
Richard T. Heiden, P.A."
More than ever Natasha is in need of support, she refuses to give up this lengthy battle but finds it is wearing heavily on her both emotionally and financially. If you can give supportive words and assist in anyway please contact her via Facebook,
