Meet Miss Lou Lou Gehrig, a dog with a job she takes seriously. She works as a bat-collecting dog for the Greensboro Grasshoppers, a Minor League Baseball team in North Carolina and recently she was just trying to fetch a bat when a mix-up made the spectators laugh.
Grasshopper Jhonny Santos was up to bat during a game and dropped the bat at his feet after a pitch. He picked it up after a few seconds, but that was enough of a signal for Miss Lou Lou Gehrig, who dashed out to grab it, which lead to this confusing but amusing moment.
Although it looks like Miss Lou Lou Gehrig was trying to steal the bat, we can all agree she was simply doing her job. It’s a teachable moment for the players though. If you don’t want Miss Lou Lou Gehrig to take your bat, don’t put it down! After all, she’s got a job to do.
