My name is Ally S. I live in Costa Mesa, CA with my 10YO long-haired dachshund (Raleigh) and my roommate's 1YO Chihuahua (Vito). I have worked in the veterinary field in the past, operated a small pet sitting service in Orange County and I've dabble a bit in dog training as well. Currently I am primarily involved in dog rescue and dog fostering. I was educated about the Chihuahua crisis here in Southern California and decided to help where I can. She would have been put to sleep the day we picked her up, had we not gone for her. Mange is an easy, albeit time consuming, condition to treat. SO many dogs like Fiona are immediately euthanized just because they have this NON-contagious form of mange =(
